Spiced Honey Echinacea Cooler

Suffering from a summer illness? Sooth the throat with honey and echinacea while cooling off with this delicious beverage.

Ingredients: 
  • 4 Echinacea tea bags
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 20 whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
Directions: 
  1. Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. 
  2. Add tea bags, cinnamon, and cloves; let simmer for 5 minutes. 
  3. Remove cinnamon and cloves and stir in honey and lemon juice. 
  4. Place in refrigerator until chilled (approx. one hour). 
  5. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh lemon slices.
Notes: 
  • May substitute chamomile tea for the Echinacea tea.
  • Variations: Add 1 Tbsp of orange juice to each glass.
